Articulação dos Povos Indígenas do Brasil (APIB)
APIB (Articulação dos Povos Indígenas do Brasil) was founded in 2005 and coordinates Brazil's major regional indigenous organisations into a unified national movement. It leads the annual Acampamento Terra Livre (Free Land Camp) in Brasília, mobilising tens of thousands of indigenous people to demand territorial demarcation and rights protection from all branches of government. APIB is a central actor in climate justice internationally, fielding delegations to COP negotiations and launching the campaign 'The Answer Is Us' framing indigenous peoples as climate solutions. In 2025 the organisation celebrated its 20th anniversary and helped launch the Indigenous International Commission for COP-30 in Belém.
