CLOC – Vía Campesina

The Garden The Assemblies

The Coordinadora Latinoamericana de Organizaciones del Campo (CLOC) is the Latin American and Caribbean regional expression of La Vía Campesina International, established at its first congress in Lima in 1994. It coordinates 84 member organisations across 18 countries representing peasant farmers, indigenous peoples, rural women, and Afro-descendant communities. CLOC campaigns for comprehensive agrarian reform, food sovereignty grounded in agroecology, and the defence of native seeds as common heritage. It integrates feminist and anti-racist politics into rural struggle through its women's commission and youth secretariat. The network publishes regular declarations on food systems, climate justice, and territorial rights from a distinctly anti-extractivist standpoint.
