Code for Africa
Code for Africa (CfA) is the continent's largest network of civic technology and data journalism labs, with teams in 26 countries. The organization builds digital democracy solutions that give citizens access to actionable information, from fact-checking tools to budget monitoring platforms. CfA manages major open infrastructure including openAFRICA and sourceAFRICA (the continent's largest open data portals), the sensors.AFRICA air quality monitoring network, and the africanDRONE network. Its secretariats are based in Nairobi, Cape Town, Lagos, and Dar es Salaam, and it actively incubates civic tech initiatives across the continent.
