Pacific Islands Development Forum (PIDF)
The Pacific Islands Development Forum (PIDF) is a multi-stakeholder regional body founded in 2013 and headquartered in Suva, Fiji. It brings together Pacific Island heads of state and government, civil society, the private sector, and development partners to advance the Green Pacific development agenda — an alternative model centred on ecological sustainability, inclusive growth, and Pacific cultural values. PIDF has been a key advocate for ambitious climate action, small island developing states' rights in international negotiations, and the Blue Pacific concept linking ocean governance to development and sovereignty. The forum hosts annual summits and thematic dialogues on climate, oceans, food systems, and digital governance.
