PICAN — Pacific Islands Climate Action Network
The Pacific Islands Climate Action Network (PICAN) brings together over 190 civil society organisations across Pacific Island countries to amplify the Pacific voice in global climate governance. Established in 2013 and part of Climate Action Network International, PICAN coordinates national civil society nodes across Fiji, Samoa, Vanuatu, and beyond. The Pacific Islands are among the most vulnerable places on Earth to sea-level rise and climate disruption — PICAN turns that frontline experience into political advocacy, demanding loss and damage finance, rapid global decarbonisation, and recognition of climate-driven human rights. The movement's moral authority in climate negotiations is unmatched.
