Red Muqui is a Peruvian civil society network founded to defend the rights of communities affected by extractive mining and promote sustainable development alternatives. Operating from Lima with regional nodes in Muqui Norte, Muqui Centro, and Muqui Sur, it provides legal accompaniment, environmental monitoring, and policy advocacy to communities facing water contamination, land displacement, and criminalisation of protest. The network documents conflicts in key mining zones including Moquegua, Puno, and La Libertad and publishes regular research on socio-environmental impacts. Red Muqui engages in national policy processes to shift Peru's extractivist model.
