WoMin African Alliance
WoMin African Alliance is a pan-African ecofeminist organization that supports and amplifies the voices of African women — particularly peasant and working-class communities — impacted by large-scale mining and extractive industries. The alliance runs programs including resistance to green extractivism, the Right to Say NO campaign, debt and reparations advocacy, development alternatives, and ecofeminist popular education. WoMin conducts research, supports community organizing, and coordinates campaigns across multiple African countries including Burkina Faso and South Africa. The organization advocates for an African post-extractivist, ecologically just, and women-centred development model.
