African Women in Agricultural Research and Development (AWARD) is hosted by the World Agroforestry Centre at CIFOR-ICRAF in Nairobi, Kenya. AWARD invests in women's leadership across Africa's agricultural research and development sector, offering fellowship programs, leadership training, and institutional capacity-building to advance gender-responsive agri-food systems. The organisation strengthens institutions to adopt gender-responsive policies and supports research that integrates gender perspectives across the food system. AWARD works across sub-Saharan Africa and engages with continental research and policy networks.
